Elite Performance Center (EPC) is seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Morning Operations & Front Desk Associate to help prepare our facility for a successful day of training.
This is a part-time morning position (approximately 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM) focused on creating an exceptional member experience through facility organization, cleanliness, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining high standards, enjoys creating efficient systems, and understands that the small details contribute significantly to a premium gym experience.
In addition to traditional front desk responsibilities, this role serves as a key contributor to the daily presentation and organization of the facility and will oversee EPC's Energy Exchange Program, which allows select members to earn membership benefits in exchange for helping maintain gym standards.
Key Responsibilities Member Experience & Front Desk Operations
- Welcome members and guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Assist with member check-ins and general inquiries.
- Provide facility tours to prospective members when required.
- Support membership sales by providing information on memberships, passes, classes, and services.
- Address member concerns and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Help foster a positive, inclusive, and community-focused atmosphere.
Facility Organization & Daily Setup
As the first team member on-site each morning, this role is responsible for ensuring the facility is prepared for the day ahead.
Responsibilities include:
- Complete a daily facility walk-through and opening checklist.
- Ensure all training areas are clean, organized, and member-ready.
- Re-rack misplaced weights, dumbbells, kettlebells, and equipment.
- Organize turf, functional training, and HYROX training areas.
- Return equipment to designated storage locations.
- Maintain organization of accessory equipment including bands, ropes, medicine balls, sleds, and mobility tools.
- Identify and address facility presentation issues before peak hours.
- Ensure all member-facing areas meet EPC's standards for cleanliness and professionalism.
Cleaning & Laundry Operations
- Complete daily laundry cycles throughout the shift.
- Fold, organize, and restock towels and cleaning supplies.
- Refill disinfectant spray bottles and cleaning stations.
- Ensure paper towel dispensers and sanitization stations remain fully stocked.
- Wipe down high-touch surfaces and common areas as required.
- Monitor cleanliness of washrooms & change rooms and alert building cleaners should maintenance be required.
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report shortages.
Systems & Organizational Improvement
We are looking for someone who not only follows systems but actively helps improve them.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify opportunities to improve facility organization and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain labeling, storage, and equipment management systems.
- Create simple processes that improve cleanliness and operational consistency.
- Assist management with special organization and facility improvement projects.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, and facility concerns promptly.
- Help establish and maintain standards that improve the overall member experience.
Energy Exchange Program Coordinator
The Morning Operations & Front Desk Associate will oversee EPC's Energy Exchange Program.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate daily and weekly tasks for Energy Exchange participants.
- Assign and monitor completion of facility tidiness responsibilities.
- Ensure participant tasks are completed to EPC standards.
- Provide guidance, feedback, and support to participants.
- Maintain task schedules and participation records.
- Communicate program updates and expectations to participants.
- Work with management to continually improve the effectiveness of the program.
Qualifications Preferred Skills & Experience
- Previous customer service, hospitality, fitness, or front desk experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced gym environment.
- Ability to lift and move fitness equipment as needed.
- Basic computer proficiency.
