IT Manager (Temporary Contract) Job Description:
This position is a temporary contract role covering a planned leave of absence. There may be potential for continued employment opportunities with LEGEND following the completion of the leave coverage period, based on business needs and performance.
Key Responsibilities
IT Leadership
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures aligned with Legend’s business objectives.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of IT systems, infrastructure, and support services.
- Identify opportunities for technology improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure IT projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
People Management
- Lead, mentor, and support IT staff to foster professional growth and high performance.
- Set clear goals and expectations, conduct regular performance check-ins, and provide feedback.
- Oversee IT team workload, prioritization, and resource allocation.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of IT team members.
- Build a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented team culture.
Systems & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee network security, data protection, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Manage servers, networks, ERP systems, and all business-critical applications.
- Ensure data backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are effective and up to date.
- Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, escalating as required.
Support & Collaboration
- Provide leadership and escalation support for IT helpdesk requests.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other departments to support business needs.
- Ensure end-user satisfaction with IT services and solutions.
- Train and support staff on new systems, tools, and technology processes.
Other Responsibilities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to IT and company-wide systems.
- Ensure IT compliance with cybersecurity standards, data privacy, and industry best practices.
- Assist with preparation of IT budgets and forecasts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, ERP platforms, and business applications.
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and vendor relationships.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience with ISO27001, SOC 2 Type 2, or other data security standards is an asset.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
