DAN MAR EQUIPMENT
Dan Mar Equipment is a Heavy equipment repair shop, located in Nisku Alberta. We are a growing company looking to immediately hire a heavy duty technician.
At Dan Mar, we service the oil field and construction industry. We provide shop maintenance, field service trucks, in house parts department, and have a fleet of rental side booms.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform detailed inspections of machines for defects. Make repair lists from findings
- Repair/ Replace defects found on machines
- Service/ Grease/ Lube machine
- Document / Record repairs required and request parts as necessary
- Record machine hours and unit number
- Diagnose and repair company assets, maintain repair order documentation and assist other maintenance personnel when required
- Document repair operations and time tracking in accordance with company policies
- Ensure work area in shop, and service trucks are kept clean, organized, and maintained properly so they are ready for use at all times
- Perform services on machines while completing overhauls
- Removal of components for rebuilding ( final drives, engines, transmissions, pumps, ect. )
- Complete overhauls of various types of machines ( sidebooms, dozers, excavators, loaders, ect. ) John Deere, Cat, ect.
- Perform technical inspections and document findings
- Diagnose and calibrate machines using shop laptop ( Et, Service advisor, Prosis, ect. )
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician ( 5 Years off road experience )
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Thorough knowledge of applicable safety practices and procedures and comply with all safety standards
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when and where required
- Strong communication skills to coordinate workflow with crew, foreman and superintendent
- Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned
- Must be able to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test
- Must have drives license with a clean drivers abstract
