About Rover Bike Shop
Rover Bike Shop is a growing British Columbia bicycle and e-bike retailer, service provider, rental operator, and wholesale distributor. We supply new and refurbished bicycles, e-bikes, accessories, parts, and cycling solutions to retail customers, independent dealers, commercial operators, hospitality partners, and tourism businesses.
As we expand our wholesale operations, we are seeking an experienced Senior B2B Bicycle & E-Bike Wholesale Sales Representative to grow our dealer network, develop new commercial accounts, and strengthen Rover’s presence throughout British Columbia.
This is a business-development-focused position for an established bicycle-industry sales professional. The ideal candidate has at least five years of relevant industry experience, understands how independent bicycle dealers operate, and has a proven ability to develop new accounts and generate sustainable wholesale revenue.
Position Overview
The Senior Wholesale Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and developing new dealer and commercial accounts across British Columbia.
The primary focus of the position is new business development. You will prospect for qualified opportunities, conduct outbound sales activity, visit dealers, present products, prepare proposals, negotiate orders, and build long-term customer relationships.
You will also help shape Rover’s wholesale strategy by providing market feedback, identifying product opportunities, monitoring competitive activity, and supporting the development of dealer programs that encourage repeat business.
This position requires someone who is self-directed, commercially minded, highly organized, and comfortable being accountable for measurable sales results.
Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development
- Identify and pursue new wholesale opportunities throughout British Columbia
- Develop relationships with independent bike shops, sporting goods retailers, rental operators, tourism businesses, resorts, hotels, and other qualified commercial partners
- Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of prospective dealers and B2B customers
- Conduct outbound sales calls, targeted email outreach, dealer visits, product demonstrations, and follow-up activity
- Secure meetings with owners, buyers, managers, and other key decision-makers
- Open new dealer accounts and develop them into long-term, repeat customers
Wholesale Sales and Account Management
- Present Rover’s bicycles, e-bikes, refurbished products, accessories, parts, fleet solutions, and dealer programs
- Assess each customer’s business model, market, inventory needs, and target customer
- Recommend appropriate products, pricing structures, order quantities, and sales programs
- Prepare quotations, wholesale proposals, order forms, and dealer agreements
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within approved company guidelines
- Maintain regular contact with active accounts to support reorders and identify additional sales opportunities
- Assist with dealer onboarding, product education, warranty communication, and after-sales support
- Represent Rover professionally and build relationships based on trust, responsiveness, and long-term value
Sales Planning and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, opportunities, conversations, quotations, follow-up dates, and account activity
- Use the company’s CRM or task-management system to manage the sales pipeline
- Provide weekly pipeline reports, sales forecasts, activity summaries, and account-development updates
- Track progress toward monthly, quarterly, and annual wholesale revenue targets
- Identify stalled opportunities and take responsibility for moving them forward
- Work closely with management to establish territory plans and priority account lists
Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with inventory, logistics, service, and management teams to confirm product availability and delivery timelines
- Communicate dealer requirements clearly to the appropriate internal departments
- Help ensure that orders, product information, pricing, and delivery expectations are accurate
- Provide feedback regarding dealer demand, product performance, warranty concerns, and market opportunities
- Support product launches, seasonal wholesale campaigns, dealer events, demonstrations, and trade shows
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years of relevant experience in bicycle-industry sales, wholesale distribution, dealer development, or B2B account management
- Proven experience selling bicycles, e-bikes, cycling accessories, components, or related outdoor recreation products
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business through outbound prospecting and relationship building
- Strong understanding of independent bicycle dealers and the factors that influence their purchasing decisions
- Working knowledge of bicycles, e-bikes, components, accessories, warranties, and common dealer requirements
- Experience preparing quotations, negotiating orders, and managing wholesale accounts
- Ability to communicate confidently with business owners, buyers, managers, technicians, and commercial operators
- Strong presentation, negotiation, organization, and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage a territory and sales pipeline with limited day-to-day supervision
- Comfortable working toward clearly defined activity, account-development, and revenue targets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, online catalogues, CRM platforms, and sales-management tools
- Valid driver’s licence, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout British Columbia
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working for a bicycle manufacturer, distributor, supplier, dealer network, or multi-location retailer
- Established relationships with bicycle dealers or sporting goods retailers in British Columbia
- Experience selling e-bikes, refurbished bicycles, accessories, fleet programs, or commercial cycling solutions
- Strong understanding of wholesale pricing, dealer margins, minimum order quantities, freight, warranties, and inventory planning
- Technical bicycle knowledge or previous bike shop experience
- Experience using Lightspeed, Shopify, HubSpot, Monday.com, or similar platforms
- Experience attending trade shows, dealer events, product demonstrations, or industry conferences

Schedule and Travel
This is a full-time position serving dealers and commercial customers across British Columbia.
The role will include a combination of:
- Remote prospecting and account management
- Telephone and email sales
- In-person dealer visits

- Product presentations and demonstrations
- Occasional in-store work
- Industry events and trade shows
Some evening or weekend availability may be required for dealer events, demonstrations, trade shows, or other sales opportunities.
