Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Customer Service and Food Preparation Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, preparing food items, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Prior experience in food service or restaurant operations is preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food handling, cashiering, and customer relations while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely food preparation and service
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to health and safety standards
- Support team members in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient order processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods
- Kitchen experience or food handling knowledge is advantageous
- Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour
