Well-established high-end shoe repair store requires skilled craft-mans with previous experience to repair shoes and designer handbags. Willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate will be well versed in all areas of shoe and purse repair must be comfortable with all aspects of shoe repair including but not limited to:
-Sole stitching, welting, attaching midsoles, heels and outsoles etc
-Edge trimming, sanding, buffing, and finishing
-Applying finishing product such as wax, polish, or staining
-Reheeling shoes
-Installing zippers (boots and purses)
-Heel lining and purse lining skills required
Requirements:
- Prior experience with shoe repair (2 years plus)
- Proven experience as a repair technician or similar role
- Accuracy when measuring and cutting materials
- Excellent problem-solving skills
-Sound time management skills
