Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks with patience and respect.
- Support participation in recreational, educational, and community activities to promote social inclusion and skill development.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each person’s needs, preferences, and goals.
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Observe and report on individuals’ progress, behaviors, and any changes in health or well-being to the supervisory team.
- Foster a safe environment by adhering to all safety policies, including proper caregiving techniques and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is highly valued.
- Knowledge of caregiving practices and medication administration procedures is essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ independence and well-being.
- Relevant certifications or training in caregiving or disability support are preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary.
