Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining operations. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
- Program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software to produce complex parts with high precision.
- Set up CNC machines, including installing tools, fixtures, and workpieces, ensuring proper calibration.
- Operate CNC equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor machining processes, inspecting parts for quality and making adjustments as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Document production data, machine settings, and inspection results accurately.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve manufacturing issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Skilled in programming CNC machines using G-code or CAM software such as Mastercam or Fusion 360.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, fixturing, and machine setup procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot machine errors and make real-time adjustments for continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs for quality inspection.
- Prior experience working with various materials including metals and plastics is preferred. This position is ideal for candidates committed to precision craftsmanship and continuous learning within a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
