Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join the team at Station BBQ Smokehouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills, with the ability to supervise daily food service operations, coordinate staff activities, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the restaurant's success by maintaining high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. Previous restaurant or food service supervisory experience is highly preferred.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of food service staff to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
- Monitor food preparation and service to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
- Assign duties to staff and ensure adequate staffing levels during all operating hours.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance support to team members.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety regulations.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering food and restaurant supplies, and minimize waste.
- Assist with scheduling staff shifts and maintaining appropriate labour levels.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS transactions, and daily closing/opening responsibilities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining, kitchen, storage, and service areas.
- Work closely with management to implement operational improvements and promotional initiatives.
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and service standards are consistently followed by all staff.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant, food service, or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are an asset.
- Knowledge of food preparation, food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and restaurant operations.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, inventory control, and scheduling.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Customer-focused attitude with excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Pay: $28.15-$29.00 per hour
