We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Beef Cattle Herdsperson to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the daily care, health, and management of our beef cattle herd while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the feedlot. Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to animal welfare will make a meaningful contribution to our operation.

Duties & Requirements
- Assist with the daily feeding, watering, and general care of beef cattle to promote optimal health and growth.
- Monitor cattle for signs of illness or injury, promptly reporting any concerns to veterinary professionals.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, feed trucks, and other equipment essential for herd management.
- Perform routine inspections of fencing, pens, and housing facilities to ensure safety and security for the herd.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks related to feed bags, equipment parts, or livestock movements safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of animal health, feed schedules, and other essential farm data.
- Check the well being of cattle, able to pick out ill or injured animals.
- Treating the animals, processing, sorting, implanting, receiving and shipping of cattle.
- Working with the veterinarian on cattle health and treatment.
- Feedlot maintenance (fences, water troughs, etc.)
- Bedding/pen maintenance
- Servicing equipment
- Silage pit maintenance
- Wintertime may include snow removal.
- Operation of equipment, ie. Loader, tractor, farm truck, etc.
- Yard maintenance, feedlot yard, shop, etc.
- Prior experience working with livestock or in a farm setting is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of cattle behavior, nutrition, and health management practices is advantageous.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to animal care.
