Overview
As a Territory Sales Associate, you'll work alongside experienced sales and agronomy professionals to drive sales of Pioneer's leading seed genetics and crop solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career sales or agronomy professional looking to gain experience and have an opportunity to move into a senior full-time commercial role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist local Territory Manager with growing a portfolio of grower and retail accounts across the Eastern Manitoba territory, achieving sales and market-share targets.
- Assist local sales representatives with program execution, meeting support, and territory management activities.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with growers, dealers, and partners.
- Execute territory business plans, including account prioritization, sales forecasting, and seasonal planning.
- Deliver agronomic recommendations and product positioning across Pioneer's corn, soybean, and canola portfolios.
- Plan and lead grower meetings, field days, plot tours, and local agricultural events.
- Establish and manage field trials and demonstration plots; collect, interpret, and communicate performance data.
- Provide in-season agronomic support, including field scouting and product guidance.
- Maintain accurate account records, pipeline, and activity in the CRM system.
- Represent Pioneer professionally within the Eastern Manitoba farming community.
- Collaborate with internal teams (agronomy, marketing, supply) to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Qualifications
Required
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, Business, or a related field — or equivalent industry experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in agricultural sales, agronomy, retail, or a related customer-facing role (new graduates with strong ag backgrounds will be considered).
- Genuine interest in agriculture and the Eastern Manitoba farming community.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the territory (rural roads, on-farm sites).
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a field-based role.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred / Assets
- Farm background or hands-on agricultural experience.
- Familiarity with Eastern Manitoba cropping systems (corn, soybeans, canola, cereals).
- Agronomic credentials (e.g., CCA designation) or willingness to pursue them.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, mobile field apps, and MS Office.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment
This is a primarily field-based, outdoor role requiring regular travel to farms and demonstration sites across Eastern Manitoba. The position involves a mix of in-field customer work, agronomic activity, and office/administrative time, with peak demands during the planting and growing seasons.
