Futuristic Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled and reliable Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our team in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial trucks and trailers to ensure safe and efficient operation. Typical duties for truck and transport mechanics include diagnosing faults, repairing truck and trailer systems, performing preventive maintenance, and completing repair records.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair trucks and trailers
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Repair and service diesel engines, air brake systems, suspension, steering, electrical, hydraulic, and trailer components
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Test repaired systems to ensure proper performance
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Follow workplace safety procedures and company standards
Requirements
- Experience working on commercial trucks and trailers
- Knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, and trailer repairs
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Trade certification, apprenticeship training, or equivalent experience is considered an asset.
