Job Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented high school or college students to join our team as Personal Tax Associates for the 2026–2027 tax season. The ideal candidates will be responsible, organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn personal income tax preparation concepts and procedures from experienced CPAs. It's a paid position based on the performance.
Proficiency in English is required. Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is considered an asset. Training will be provided; however, successful candidates must be available to work during the peak tax season from March to April 2027.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file personal income tax returns accurately and efficiently in compliance with applicable federal and provincial regulations.
- Organize client documents and scan them into the firm's database.
- Greet walk-in clients and assist them in completing required information forms.
- Provide support for bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, payroll processing, budgeting, and general ledger maintenance, as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling client information.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, printers, and scanners.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Previous accounting or tax preparation experience is an asset but not required.
- Familiarity with accounting software is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Scarborough, ON
