Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate (ideally female) Family Physician to join our healthcare team at our brand new clinic (1 year old) in North York. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, ensuring high-quality patient care through clinical expertise and excellent communication skills. This role involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, coordinating patient care, and promoting overall wellness within the community. Experience with hospital settings, research, and home care is highly valued to support our commitment to comprehensive healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient examinations and assessments across diverse age groups, including pediatrics and adult patients
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions with a focus on pain management and preventive care
- Administer medications and oversee medication management plans in accordance with best practices
- Perform or coordinate procedures such as data collection, medical testing, and medication administration
- Utilize electronic health records systems for documentation, order entry, and patient data management
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options
- Collaborate with specialists, hospitals, home care providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in research initiatives or quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards while delivering compassionate patient-centered care
Assets and Experience
- Fluency in Urdu/Hindi will be an asset in order to serve majority patient population
- Fluency with EMR-AVAROS
- Demonstrated expertise in acute care settings and pain management techniques
- Proven ability in data collection, documentation accuracy, and medication administration
- Background in home care services or community-based health programs is advantageous
- Strong communication skills coupled with a commitment to delivering empathetic patient care
