- IT Educator in the Infant and Toddler Program (Do not apply if you do not have a valid Infant Toddler Education Certificate)
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience leading a successful team
- Organized, positive and energetic
- Valid Childcare First-Aid/CPR certificate
- Criminal Record Clearance, childcare specific
- An Early Childhood Educator license to practice from the ECEBC Registry
- Knowledge of Vancouver Coastal Health’s Licensing Regulations Act
- Understanding of the BC Code of Ethics
- Three references, one personal, two work related
- Proof of immunizations or an objection letter

Position Requirements:
- Fluent in English
- Be flexible in job duties
- Display enthusiasm to teach children
- Guidance and Caring experience
- Seek partnership with parents, as well as team members
- Plan and implement programming that reflects and is not limited to all aspects of learning including circle time, math, socials, science, fine and gross motor skills, music and movement and language development
- Set out provocations to encourage purposeful play
- Encourage self-help skills as well as facilitate problem solving techniques and respectful mannerisms
- Observe and bring to the attention of the manager any developmental concerns among children in their class to provide early intervention techniques and strategies
- Have knowledge of licensing regulations and implementation

More Details:
- Shifts are fixed between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:30 pm.
- Shifts able to be adjusted for appointments when necessary.
- Full-time position: 37 - 40 hours per week including a 30 minute break.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
