About Us
We are a growing industrial coatings company specializing in high-quality surface finishing solutions, including powder coating, Cerakote, liquid coatings, and laser engraving. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Robotic Paint Operator to join our production team and operate our advanced FANUC 8-Axis Automated Painting System.
Position Summary
The Robotic Paint Operator is responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and maintaining an automated robotic paint system used to apply high-quality industrial coatings to a variety of customer parts and components. The ideal candidate has experience with industrial painting processes, automation systems, and quality control standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a FANUC 8-axis robotic painting system.
- Program, teach, and optimize robot paint paths for new and existing parts.
- Prepare parts for coating, including masking, fixturing, loading, and unloading.
- Monitor coating application to ensure consistent film build, coverage, and finish quality.
- Adjust robot parameters and spray settings to maximize efficiency and coating performance.
- Conduct quality inspections using visual inspection tools and coating measurement equipment.
- Troubleshoot robot, paint delivery, and application issues as they arise.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of robotic equipment, spray guns, pumps, and paint systems.
- Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and quality records.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve throughput and coating quality.
- Follow all safety procedures related to paint application, chemicals, compressed air, and automated machinery.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase productivity.
Qualifications
- Experience operating industrial painting equipment or robotic automation systems.
- Experience with FANUC robots or robotic programming is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of industrial coatings, liquid paint application, and finishing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use measuring and inspection tools.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience are considered assets.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Experience
- FANUC robot programming and teach pendant operation.
- Automated spray finishing systems.
- Industrial painting, powder coating, or automotive finishing.
- PLC and automation troubleshooting.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
