T & A Rock Works Inc. has been established since 1979 and is based out of Kelowna, BC. T & A specializes in rock drilling, controlled blasting, rockfall mitigation, shotcrete & shoring as well as non-explosive rock removal.
The company is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Excavator Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has experience in a support role for surface drilling and blasting operations, works well under pressure, and is committed to maintaining a safe job site at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Volvo EC380EL excavator c/w a Rammer 4099E rock hammer
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools
- Ensure that work areas are free of debris and are clean enough to conform to safety standards. Ensure cabs are free of garbage and personal effects after every shift.
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Position will require labour to assist all crews.
- You will be expected to be on time and be prepared for work with appropriate PPE.
- Maintain equipment and complete daily logs
- Read and interpret layouts for residential projects
- Work in varying terrain and weather conditions
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 1 or 3 is an asset)
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of residential construction
- Physically fit and able to work in remote and rugged locations
