OCT-Certified Teacher — Grades 9–12 (Intermediate/Senior)

Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons for Grades 9–12 aligned to the Ontario Curriculum, differentiating for varied abilities and interests.
- Create an engaging blended learning environment using in‑class activities and online platforms.
- Support student‑athletes and high achievers with enrichment, time‑management, and academic planning.
- Design assessments, provide timely feedback, and track progress toward learning goals.
- Develop and curate teaching materials, projects, and learning games to deepen understanding.
- Communicate regularly with students and families; schedule feedback sessions and provide extra help as needed.
- Contribute to school initiatives, clubs, and events; collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and student support.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative duties.
What you bring
- B.Ed. and active OCT certification (Intermediate/Senior preferred).
- Demonstrated experience teaching Grades 9–12 and applying the Ontario Curriculum across core subjects.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and support both enrichment and skill‑building.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Comfort with blended learning tools and instructional technology.
- Growth mindset, creativity, and commitment to student well‑being.
Nice to have
- Experience working with student‑athletes or high‑achieving learners.
- Subject specialization (e.g., English, Social Sciences) or extracurricular coaching/club leadership.
- Experience designing project‑based learning or inquiry‑based units.
Schedule and location
- Full‑time, on‑site in Ottawa.
- School‑year schedule with occasional extracurricular or event support.
