Position Overview:
Working an average of 50 hours per week, either remotely or from our headquarters in Sturgeon Falls, you will be reporting to the Project Manager. The Project Coordinator's responsibilities focus on preparing civil construction projects documentation of different scales and performing coordination tasks to support the project's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare pre-start project forms, schedules, permits, commitments, safety documentation and information packages for coordination with the supervisor.
- Assist in preparing meetings, reports and reviewing invoicing
- Generate proposed project or task schedules
- Assist in the maintenance and action of schedules
- Read, understand and follow construction drawings, instructions and specifications
- Assist management in completing various administrative tasks
- Understand and highlight contractual obligations, project constraints and milestones
- The type of projects are in the civil construction and surface mining industry.
Requirements / Preferred Qualifications:
- University Degree or College diploma in related field is preferred, however extensive related industry specific experience is also acceptable.
- 5 years of related construction experience.
- 2 years of related estimating and coordination experience.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Suites (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word, etc.)
- Experience with AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Micro Survey, Bluebeam, Procore and BambooHr are all assets.
- Team player and willing to share the work.
- Organized, responsible, open minded, attention to details, ambitious.
- Good people skills, emotionally intelligent and good negotiator.
- Minimum G2 license.
