Meraki Music is expanding in Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge, and we’re looking for a passionate piano instructor to inspire the next generation of musicians. If you love teaching, enjoy working with kids and families, and want a flexible, creative role, you’ll feel right at home with us.
What We’re Looking For
- Fun, patient, and positive energy that makes lessons engaging.
- Education: Minimum RCM Grade 8 in Piano OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (or equivalent).
- At least 1 year of teaching experience with a genuine love for sharing music.
- Local to Maple Ridge (or nearby), with reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Able to create personalized lesson plans that connect with students and spark creativity.
- It's a bonus if you can teach other instruments (guitar, voice, etc.)
What You’ll Do
- Lead one-on-one piano lessons tailored to each student’s goals and learning style.
- Foster confidence, musicality, and creativity through engaging teaching methods.
- Incorporate games, storytelling, movement, or early childhood techniques to keep lessons fun and memorable.
- Track progress, celebrate growth, and provide consistent updates to parents.
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and exams.
