Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth for children.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and respect among children.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, tailoring activities to meet individual needs and abilities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's development, behavior, and classroom events.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and daily activities using computer systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing additional assistance as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in English; bilingual skills are highly valued to support diverse communities.
- Strong childcare experience with a focus on early childhood education principles.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Competent in classroom management
- Demonstrated classroom experience with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
