National Process Equipment Inc. ("NatPro") is Canada's largest national distributor of pumps, service and repairs, integrated systems packages, compressors and related process equipment. Founded in 1998, NatPro is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta and operates out of eight locations across Eastern and Western Canada. NatPro is focused on serving customers in the oil & gas, municipal, fire, mining and general industrial markets.

The Project Engineer is responsible for delivering project engineering assignments that meet customer, industry, and company requirements and standards. As a member of the project team, the Project Engineer oversees all technical aspects of projects from handover through final documentation.
Projects typically involve rotating equipment, drives, and associated accessories, ranging from single pieces of equipment mounted on a baseplate to fully packaged systems that may include skids, buildings, HVAC, piping, and electrical components. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review designs and technical specifications.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation.
- Develop bills of materials and shop production orders.
- Resolve technical issues with suppliers and customers.
- Support fabrication and assembly activities.
- Work with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Address technical issues arising during construction and testing.
Other Responsibilities
- The position is responsible for maximizing quality, delivery, and service performance of assigned Engineering Department tasks.
- Ensure adherence to Customer specifications.

Required Qualifications
- Three years industry experience in a technical capacity, in a manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, CWB, OH&S, ANSI, etc.

Excellent computer skills, familiarity with CAD and engineering software.

Experienced with piping line class specification, line list development and specialty items required.
- Experience reviewing ISO’s and piping plans and sections.

Ability to manage multiple small projects and direct other professionals.
- Good understanding of manufacturing (fabrication, machining and assembly) processes.

Previous experience with pumps and compressors is an asset.
- Must have the ability to work within a multi-discipline engineering team. The incumbent will be working with sales, operations and procurement groups as well as vendors to produce manufacturing ready packages.

Required Certifications & Training
- P. Eng. (licensed in Ontario) or CET.

Salary Range: CAD $80,000–$110,000 annually
