Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, preparing food items, and ensuring a clean and organized food service area. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cashiering, and food safety protocols, with a passion for delivering a positive dining experience. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Operate grill and fryer
- Greet customers promptly and provide excellent customer service
- Take orders accurately, upsell menu items when appropriate, and process payments efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food prep area, counters, and dining space in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and sanitation
- Assist in serving food and beverages to customers in a courteous manner
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cashiering, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and proper food handling techniques
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: From $16.75 per hour
