Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our shipping and receiving department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to ensure efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. This role requires a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work on your own and with others.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, to transport materials throughout the Yard
- Perform order picking and staging of products for shipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- A valid Forklift license.
