About Bad Guy Motors
We're not a dealership. No flat rate games, no micromanagement, no corporate nonsense. Bad Guy Motors is a tight-knit shop where skilled techs are respected, trusted, and treated like people — not labor units. If you're the kind of tech who takes pride in figuring things out and doesn't need someone looking over your shoulder, you'll fit right in here.
What You'll Be Working On
- Gas passenger vehicles — maintenance through complex diagnostics
- Light duty diesel trucks — the everyday stuff plus the tricky stuff
- Electrical diagnosis and repair — this is where we need you sharp
- A variety of work that keeps the job interesting and your skills growing
What We're Looking For
You don't have to be a master at everything, but you need to be honest about what you know and hungry to learn what you don't. We value:
- Solid diagnostic thinking over part-swapping
- Experience with electrical systems (a real advantage here)
- Ability to work across gas and light diesel platforms
- A professional attitude and reliable work ethic
- Your own tools (basic set expected)
Experience level is open — the right attitude and aptitude matter as much as years on the job.
What You Get
- $38+/hr based on experience and skillset
- Flexible scheduling — we work with you, not against you
- A genuine family-style shop culture where your input matters
- Company events and a team that actually enjoys showing up
- Room to grow without the politics
To Apply: Submit your resume and answer the prescreening questions below.
Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Medicine Hat, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Application question(s):
- What types of diesel or gas platforms have you worked on most, and what would you say is currently outside your comfort zone?
- What's your hands-on experience with automotive electrical diagnosis — specifically, have you used a wiring diagram and a multimeter to trace a fault? Give us a real example.
- Walk us through how you would diagnose a no-start condition on a gas vehicle where the engine cranks but won't fire. What's your step-by-step process?
Experience:
- Automotive repair: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- ASE A9 Light Vehicle Diesel Engine Certification (preferred)
- ASE A1 Engine Repair Certification (preferred)
Work Location: In person
