Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented experienced Archaeological Field Technicians to join our team. This role involves participating in Stage 3 and 4 fieldwork, for a mix of remote and urban projects in Northwestern Ontario. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for archaeology and experience participating in consulting archaeological fieldwork. This position is for existing vacancies intended to be filled for the current 2026 field season.
Duties
- Participate in Stage 3 and 4 excavations.
- Collect and record data in the field according to specified methodologies.
- Collaborate with team members and work independently as required.
- Follow direction in terms of equipment care and ensure compliance with safety protocols during fieldwork.
- Work 5+ days a week, weather permitting.
Qualifications
- Previous field experience in consulting archaeology required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks associated with fieldwork.
- Familiarity and comfort with wilderness environments considered an asset.
- Must be willing to live in provided remote accommodations when required (project specific).
