Maintenance Generalist
Role Overview

The Maintenance Generalist is responsible for maintaining E3's facilities, grounds, equipment, and administrative spaces to support the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees, the people we support, volunteers and visitors. Working under the direction of the Maintenance Lead Hand, this position performs a variety of maintenance, repair, general custodial, and groundskeeping duties across multiple E3 locations.

Key Skills and Capabilities
- Experience performing general building maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and custodial duties
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building systems
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools and maintenance equipment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks across various locations
- Commitment to workplace safety, including knowledge of OHSA, WHMIS, and safe work practices
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A proactive approach to identifying maintenance concerns and resolving issues before they become larger problems
- A commitment to supporting person-directed services by maintaining welcoming, safe, and accessible environments
Working Conditions and Expectations
Work Location: Multiple E3 Community Services Inc. locations throughoutCollingwood, Wasaga Beach and Stayner
Schedule: Full-time, shared weekend rotation is required
Travel Requirements: Frequent local travel between organizational locations using an E3 vehicle
- Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing, and prolonged standing
- Indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Use of ladders, maintenance equipment, power tools, and cleaning products
- Exposure to dust, noise, weather, and other environmental conditions associated with facilities maintenance
Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) or more years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field
- Experience completing preventative maintenance and general building repairs
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with a satisfactory driving record
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
- Experience with custodial or commercial cleaning is considered an asset

Compensation
The expected hourly compensation range for this role is: $20.58 to $23.31. Placement within the range will be based on demonstrated skills, relevant experience and internal equity considerations.
