Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide high-quality support to individuals in assisted living, nursing homes, and home care settings. This role is vital in enhancing the well-being and independence of seniors and individuals with disabilities. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic living space
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Assist with mobility exercises or transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety
- Support clients with activities that promote independence and quality of life
- Document care provided accurately in accordance with facility policies and procedures
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of senior care practices, dementia care, and medication administration
- Strong caregiving skills with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Competence in basic cleaning, meal preparation, and household tasks related to client care
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and safety protocols diligently
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of clients and work collaboratively within a team environment
