Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies for patient procedures
- Assist dentists during various dental treatments, including orthodontics and pediatrics
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when needed
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Ensure sterilization and cleanliness of all dental instruments and work areas
- Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when required, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and medical terminology in patient charts
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics
- Experience with orthodontics procedures is a plus
- Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in medical office administration is advantageous
