Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butchery professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, meat cutting, and food handling within a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing high-quality meat products, ensuring food safety standards, and providing excellent customer service. A background in the food industry and kitchen experience is preferred to ensure efficient and safe operations in our butchery department.
Responsibilities
- Perform precise meat cutting and portioning according to specifications
- Handle food products safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Prepare meat products for sale, including trimming, deboning, and packaging
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment
- Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable customer service
- Ensure proper storage of meat products to maintain freshness and quality
- Follow all safety protocols during food handling and processing
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals
Qualifications
- Prior experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat cutting preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Skills in meat cutting, packaging, and food preparation
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
