Reliable is seeking for a Yard Worker to join our team in Abbotsford. As the Yard Worker, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the company's yard and equipment. Your tasks will also include conducting regular maintenance inspections on tow trucks and equipment, managing and organizing the vehicle inventory, and providing assistance with the efficient and safe transportation of vehicles in and out of the yard.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of tow trucks and equipment to ensure they are in good working order
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, including removal of debris and hazardous materials
- Organize and manage vehicle inventory, including recording and tracking of vehicle movements and storage locations
- Assist with the safe and efficient movement of vehicles in and out of the yard
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks on tow trucks and equipment as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and other team members as needed
- Ability to perform minor mechanical tasks on tow trucks and equipment is a strong asset
- Cleaning and sanitizing the trucks upon drop off
- Answering any inquiries
Qualifications:
- Have a Class 5 driver's license
- Previous Towing Experience or knowledge of the industry is a strong asset.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Applicant will be required to pass RCMP Background and Criminal Record Check
