Role Overview
The Seasonal Tour Assistant plays a key role in the day-to-day operation of our oyster farm tours. This position is responsible for guest communications to ensure each visitor enjoys a smooth, informative, and memorable oyster farm tour experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and is interested in aquaculture, or food-based tourism.
Key Responsibilities:
· Respond to guest enquiries in person
· Provide clear information about oyster farm tours, tasting experiences, and safety requirements
· Welcome guests on arrival and assist with check-in
· Handle guest feedback and resolve queries in a friendly, professional manner
· Liaise with tour guides and farm staff to ensure tours depart on time
· Assist with basic retail sales (tickets, merchandise, oyster products)
· Process payments and reconcile daily sales
· Maintain accurate booking, sales, and attendance records
Skills & Experience:
· Strong organizational and time‑management skills
· Excellent communication and customer service abilities
· Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak tourism periods
· Previous experience in tourism or hospitality
· Interest in oysters, seafood, aquaculture, or agri‑tourism
· Experience working in seasonal or outdoor environments
· Friendly, welcoming, and professional
· Calm and adaptable in a busy, seasonal environment
· Team‑oriented with a proactive attitude
· Enjoys interacting with visitors from diverse backgrounds

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
