Position Overview: Kelly Services is seeking enthusiastic agricultural workers to join our team starting Mid-June. You will be working with BASF in the vibrant Agricultural Research Industry, enhancing landscapes and contributing to important research projects in the areas surrounding.
What You'll Gain:
- Start Date: Mid-June
- 4-5 weeks
- Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour + 5.77% Vacation pay
- Commute: Pick up location is in Yorkton or Kamsack
Responsibilities:
Perform manual field work focused on weed removal (hoeing, hand-pulling) across assigned area with care and consistency. Follow specific instructions and work plans provided by Summer Associates or Agronomists, completing assigned areas each day to the expected standard.
Maintain attention to detail to identify and remove target weeds while minimizing crop disturbance or damage. Use provided or approved hand tools safely and responsibly; report any damaged or missing equipment immediately.
Expectations: Start time: 7:00 AM. Arrive at pick-up location on time and sign in by 6:45 AM to allow time to sanitize footwear; van leaves pick-up location at 7:00 AM sharp.
Bring a packed lunch, filled water bottle(s), and a clean pair of sturdy, closed-toe footwear for the field (sandals are not permitted). Keep the worksite and break areas clean: dispose of waste properly and clean up after lunch.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with supervisors and team members about task progress, issues, or safety concerns.
Demonstrate reliability by maintaining regular attendance and notifying supervisors as early as possible of absences or delays. Follow all safety protocols, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and perform tasks in a manner that prioritizes personal and team safety.
