Job Summary
We are seeking two skilled Carpenters within the Ottawa region for a growing industrial construction team. This role involves working on diverse projects such as medical infrastructure and requiring a versatile skill set and attention to detail.
Duties
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Perform finishing, and related tasks with precision.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with carpentry work, and woodworking projects as needed.
- Use heavy lifting techniques to move materials and equipment safely around the job site.
- Follow safety protocols to identify and mitigate potential hazards during all phases of work.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Assist in restoration projects requiring specialized skills such as concrete finishing or siding installation.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or related trades such as carpentry, concrete forming, or restoration.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience operating power tools
- Knowledge of construction safety practices and ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Prior experience working with woodworking materials required.
- Willingness to travel would be an asset.
Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
