Osprey Electric is looking for motivated Level 2–3 Electrical Apprentices to join our team throughout Central Vancouver Island, including Nanaimo, Parksville, Qualicum Beach, and surrounding communities.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of residential, commercial, and service projects, giving you the well-rounded experience needed to advance your career. Every day is different, and you'll work alongside experienced Red Seal Journeypersons and Foremen who are committed to helping you learn, grow, and succeed in the trade.
We're looking for apprentices who take pride in their work, enjoy solving problems, communicate well with customers and coworkers, and can work confidently both independently and as part of a team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist with residential, commercial, and service electrical projects.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems under the supervision of experienced electricians.
- Perform rough-ins, finishing work, equipment installations, and service calls.
- Pull wire, install devices, panels, lighting, and electrical equipment.
- Read and interpret basic drawings and follow project specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Work on ladders, lifts, rooftops, and active construction sites.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and fellow team members.
- Deliver quality workmanship while following company safety standards and the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Continue developing your skills through hands-on experience, mentorship, and ongoing training.
What We're Looking For
- Registered Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical Apprentice.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Previous residential, commercial, or service electrical experience is considered an asset.
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments, both indoors and outdoors, year-round.
- Able to safely lift materials and work at heights when required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Professional, respectful, and comfortable interacting with clients.
- Able to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and self-motivated.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and continuously improve.
- Committed to safety, quality workmanship, and representing Osprey Electric professionally.
