Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused AZ Truck Driver to join our team in Ottawa, ON. This is a day shift position, with a typical start time of 11:00 AM and an end time around 7:00 PM, depending on operational needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing local deliveries and pickups, ensuring freight is transported safely and efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and compliance with all safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate AZ commercial vehicles for local pickups and deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load, unload, and secure freight as required.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary (training provided if required).
- Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate logs.
- Ensure freight is handled safely and delivered on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers.
- Follow all company policies, MTO regulations, and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company.
Qualifications
- Valid AZ Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Experience operating straight trucks and tractor-trailers.
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and transportation regulations.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
