About the Opportunity
Our client is a growing manufacturer of precision hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic components serving the tool and mold industry. Backed by an established global organization, the Canadian operation offers the opportunity to join a small, collaborative team where every employee plays an important role in delivering high-quality products throughout North America.
This is a hands-on CNC machining role for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in producing high-quality work. You'll be responsible for CNC milling, machine setup, FANUC programming, and mechanical assembly of precision hydraulic components in a clean, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
This is not a high-volume production machining position. You'll have the opportunity to work independently, solve machining challenges, and contribute directly to the continued growth of a small Canadian operation.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components.
- Program and edit FANUC CNC programs using ISO (G-code).
- Select cutting tools and tooling appropriate for each machining operation.
- Perform machine setup, tool setting, tool changes, and production adjustments.
- Operate manual milling machines and engine lathes as required.
- Machine, drill, deburr, and finish precision hydraulic components.
- Assemble hydraulic cylinders and related mechanical components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area.
- Support other production activities as required within a small manufacturing team.
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience operating CNC milling machines.
- Experience programming or editing FANUC CNC programs using ISO (G-code).
- Machine setup and tool setting experience.
- Ability to select cutting tools for various machining operations.
- Mechanical assembly experience.
- Quality inspection experience.
- Experience working in a precision machining environment.
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot machining challenges, and take ownership of work quality.

- Manual milling machine experience.
- Engine lathe experience.
- CAM software experience.
- Autodesk Fusion experience.
- Haas CNC experience.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Hydraulic cylinder or hydraulic component manufacturing experience.
