Intermediate Environmental Professional
Biologist / Agrologist
Full-Time, Permanent · Primarily Remote · Fraser Valley / Lower Mainland, BC · $30 - $42/hr
Frontier Environmental Consulting is seeking a biologist or agrologist to manage and deliver environmental projects across the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland. The position is primarily remote, with your time split between a home office and field sites throughout the region.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead multi-year environmental monitoring on local commercial project
- Riparian Areas Protection Regulation (RAPR) assessments, watercourse classifications and determinations (wetland experience an asset)
- Impact assessment and restoration design, implementation, and compliance monitoring
- Habitat and vegetation assessments, fish and amphibian salvages, benthic and fish utilization studies
- ALC permitting applications (NOI, Agricultural Capability Assessment)
- Technical reporting, Water Sustainability Act notifications and approvals, and municipal development permit support
Monitoring is one component of a varied mix of assessment, reporting, and permitting work. The successful candidate will carry projects from initiation through to final sign-off.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered, or immediately eligible for registration, with the College of Applied Biologists or the British Columbia Institute of Agrologists (RPBio or PAg)
- Approximately 2-5+ years of environmental consulting experience in British Columbia
- Based in the Fraser Valley or Lower Mainland
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Strong technical writing, with deliverables ready for client and regulatory review with minimal revision
- Experience completing municipal, provincial, and federal permit applications considered an asset
