Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Lead, Financial Transformation & Controls will be OPB’s finance control and process design expert during a period of enterprise modernisation. This role will provide finance leadership for Pension Modernization, including the implementation of a new Pension Administration System and integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The Senior Lead will ensure financial controls, governance, reporting, and assurance practices are embedded from the earliest stages of design.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and evolution of enterprise financial controls using a risk-informed, controls-first approach.
Act as Finance's trusted advisor on the transformation initiative, ensuring controls, governance, and reporting requirements are embedded in new systems and processes.
Assess finance workflows to identify control gaps, process improvements, automation opportunities, and future-state solutions.
Define finance functional requirements and oversee financial control documentation, system access controls, and governance frameworks.
Lead finance-related audit activities for the Pension Modernization, including planning, reporting, remediation oversight, and communication with senior leadership.
Provide strategic advice to the CFO on control effectiveness, emerging risks, transformation readiness, and continuous improvement.

You excel at partnering with senior leaders while engaging subject matter experts to build alignment and successfully lead change. You understand how people, finance processes, systems, controls, and data work together to deliver effective business outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
CPA designation required; certifications in audit, risk management, project management, or process improvement are considered assets.
Significant experience in finance, accounting, internal controls, audit, governance, risk management, or enterprise transformation within a complex organization.
Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations, modernization programs, or major process redesign.
Expertise in internal controls, governance, audit, business process improvement, and financial reporting.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with experience collaborating across business and technology teams.
Experience with enterprise financial systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, is an asset.
Experience in pension administration, financial services, the public sector, or other highly regulated environments is an asset.
