Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Lead Inspector to oversee quality management processes within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure that products meet rigorous quality standards through comprehensive inspections, data analysis, and adherence to quality assurance protocols.
Lead Inspectors perform a full range of varied sorting, inspection or production related tasks as well as administrative duties or any other task required of them to meet the work and/or goals of our customers within the Manufacturing Industry. Sorting and inspection work can include visual inspections, touch point inspection and the use of measuring equipment to determine conformity of a parts. Rework projects eliminate known defects with a part and includes work such as deburring or replacing component parts.

- Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle and vehicle insurance as some local travel is required ***Based out of Woodstock, ON with potential daily travel in Woodstock and surrounding areas***
- Daily use of own vehicle as travel between multiple locations in a single day may be required
- Flexibility in work hours this is an afternoon/evening swing shift so shifts could vary widely week to week
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- MUST have Quality Inspection and Leadership Experience
- Flexibility to continually meet customer service demands
- Familiar with all ISO standards
- No criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted
General Responsibilities
- Hands on supervision of assigned Inspectors
- To represent our client, TFT in the most professional image at all times
- Have a general understanding of Vantage
- Have a full understanding on how to operate Vantage scanners
- Have a complete understanding of setting up work cells and practice 5S
- Understanding of ergonomics as it relates to setup and work flow
- Have a working knowledge of relative ISO procedures
- All other related duties as assigned
Direct Responsibilities
- Prepare work instructions
- Work instruction and hands on training of all Inspectors for respective sort as per CVP
- Gather and review data in Vantage
- Authorization of daily time sheets for assigned Inspectors
- Complete Inspector Competency reviews
- Provide input into Inspector Performance Appraisals
- Participate in orientation and training requirements for Inspectors
- Liaise with Company Customer Representative for relevant Customers
- (On) Off-site communications with Customers
- Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and regulations
- Foster an atmosphere of continuous improvements
Physical Responsibilities
- May be required to repeatedly lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs unassisted
- May be required to lift between 50-75 lbs assisted
- Frequent use of hands, lifting, bending, stooping, twisting, standing and reaching may occur
- There may be some stepping up, stepping down and carrying
