Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role requires strong driving skills, physical endurance for heavy lifting, and a commitment to adhering to all transportation regulations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, including heavy lifting when necessary, using proper techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents promptly to management for immediate action
- Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated
- Proven experience in driving trucks or similar commercial vehicles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of loading/unloading processes
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices in transportation
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and reliability
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and load/unload cargo as needed
- Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment
Pay: $0.20-$36.62 per hour
