Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker to join our plumbing & Heating team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, blueprint reading, and various machining techniques.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Set up and operate manual hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal components.
- Use welding techniques to join metal parts according to specifications.
- Perform quality inspections using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure parts meet strict tolerances.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work processes and inspection results.
- Assist in assembly of fabricated components into final products or systems.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication with knowledge of machining processes.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and basic math skills.
- Skilled in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, or arc welding.
- Strong attention to detail for quality inspection using calipers and other measurement tools.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of assembly processes.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods. This position is integral to our manufacturing operations and requires a dedicated professional committed to producing high-quality metal components efficiently and safely.
Pay: $26.00-$38.00 per hour
