Mann Media is a BC-based creative marketing agency producing social-first content for brands across construction, real estate, trades, industrial, equipment, local service, and lifestyle industries. We create strategic video content designed for both organic and paid performance. Our team focuses on strong creative, efficient systems, and high-quality execution across every stage of production.
The Role
We are looking for a freelance Video Editor to join our post-production bench and help us keep pace with a growing production schedule. This is an execution-focused role for an editor who is fast, reliable, and obsessive about quality. You will take raw footage from our shoots and turn it into polished, social-first content that matches the creative direction set by our team.
You will work remotely on your own schedule, pulling and delivering footage through our shared media system, with clear briefs and an established style to work within. This is an ongoing freelance relationship, not a one-off gig. The right editor becomes a go-to for consistent work, with a real path to full-time as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form, social-first video content in DaVinci Resolve with strong attention to pacing, sound design, and visual quality
- Work from creative briefs and established brand styles to deliver content that is ready for client review with minimal revisions
- Pull raw footage and deliver finished edits through our NAS and shared media system
- Hit agreed turnaround times consistently
- Incorporate feedback cleanly and efficiently across revision rounds
- Maintain organized project files within our production systems
- Stay current with social platform trends and short-form editing best practices
Qualifications
Required
- Demonstrated professional experience editing short-form social media content
- A strong portfolio of social-first video work (this matters more to us than years of experience)
- Advanced proficiency in DaVinci Resolve
- Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, sound and music, and visual storytelling
- Reliable high-speed internet (ethernet or high-speed wifi) capable of transferring large media files
- Strong communication and the ability to take direction and match an established style
- Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently hit deadlines
Nice to Have
- Experience working with a NAS or similar shared media and data management system
- Experience in an agency or fast-paced production environment
- Familiarity with collaborative and cloud-based production workflows
- Color grading and motion graphics skills
