McLeod Valley Sand & Gravel is seeking a Loader Operator to work at our Gravel Pit Locations in and around the Edson and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and Efficiently operate various loaders and attachments to handle materials and manage stockpile's.
- Load Trucks, Customer Vehicles, and Other Equipment with materials based on orders and specifications.
- Maintain Stockpiles, ensuring proper organization by type, size, and accessibility
- Move materials within the pit, including loading, unloading, and arranging them for easy access
- Feed and Maintain adequate material flow to the Crusher Plant
- Arrange stockpiles by material type and size, ensuring efficient space and utilization and accessibility
- Maintain the operation of the crusher and wash plants, ensuring optimal performance
- Operate and maintain water pumps effectively
- Performing basic maintenance tasks and maintaining equipment housekeeping, including cleaning, lubrication, minor repairs, screen changes, etc.
- Complete Pre-operational checks using a Daily Equipment Inspection, to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Adhere to all safety standards and regulations, ensuring you are participating in Tailgate Meeting/ Hazard assessment and following Safe Work Procedures.
Requirements:
- Clean and Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence
- Physically fit, lift up to 50lbs
- Organized and Self - Motivated
- Ability to work in a fast pasted environment
- Attention to detail and follow instructions
- Must have experience in Equipment Operation
- Must have experience in Crusher Plant and Washer Plant Operation
