POSITION: Bartendar
Job Overview: You will courteously welcome, greet every guest and assist in seating and ensuring restaurant standards of service are always being adhered to. You will prepare the restaurant for service and ensure to always maintain cleanliness standards. You will take guests food and beverage orders, retrieve, serve beverages and food orders according to our training specifications. You will be in charge of making beverages for the restaurant in a timely manner. You will be responsible for collecting payments, close tabs and maintain accountabilities for all financial transactions. You will be genuine, fun and engaging with our guests and will WOW them with your personality and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

· Ability to make cocktails & beverages in a fast pace environment
Take and execute food and beverage orders.
· Practice responsible alcohol service.
· Ensure and check on guest satisfaction.
· Handle guest complaints or concerns following guidelines outlined in your training.
· Provide food and beverage product knowledge.
· Cleaning as outlined and needed
· And/or other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum 18 years of age
2. 3-5 years experience in similar Bartending & serving position
3. Excellent food and beverage knowledge
4. Outgoing, energetic and friendly personality
5. Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and very well organized.
6. Mature, professional and polished with exceptional grooming habits
7. Food Safe and Serving it right certification
8. General computer knowledge
9. Knowledge of local activities, attractions appropriate for our clientele
Essential Job Functions:
·As the bartender, prepare all drinks according to spec and recipe.
·Maintain strong understanding of restaurant policies, procedures, menus and specials.
· Always maintain positive guest relations.
· Answer restaurant telephone courteously and efficiently (within 3 rings)
· Maintain knowledge of vital restaurant information, address, hours of operation, environment, menu selections, price range and specials.
· Take, record and confirm restaurant reservations/cancellations as outlined in our training materials.
· Escort guests to tables and assist in seating guests, presenting menus and welcoming guest as trained.
· Completing side duties as outlined in our training.
· Anticipate the needs of the guests and react or respond promptly and accordingly.
· Handle guest comments or complaints quickly and efficiently. Seek management assistance if and when needed.
· Ensure great thankyou’s are always given on every guests’ departure. “How was your experience today, should always be accompanied with the thank you.
· Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and wines available, correct glasses and garnishes if applicable.
· Maintain knowledge of every wine’s characteristic, descriptions and food pairing matches.
· Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients, tasting notes, appearance, texture, temperature, portion size etc.
· Review daily specials and maintain awareness of items throughout your shift.
· Maintain complete knowledge and strictly abide by Alberta Liquor laws, particularly those relating to service of minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
· Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant policies and service procedures.
· Greet guest and take food/beverage orders using suggestive-selling techniques.
· Correctly and efficiently use POS system to input guest orders.
· Stock and polish silverware and glassware throughout shift ensuring always a sufficient supply.
· Set all tables according to service standards.
· Retrieve food orders from the kitchen and serve to guests.
· Assist the team wherever needed; Greeting guests at the door, seating guests, presenting menus, serving guests etc.
· Anticipate guests’ needs and maintain positive guest relations.
· Be familiar with all restaurant specials/features and local attractions/activities and match them with your guests’ interest.
· Present final bill, accept payment, process credit/debit cards or make change.
· Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
