Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Cook and plate dishes efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food safety and sanitation protocols
- Assist in meal preparation during busy service hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Support other kitchen staff as needed, including serving customers when required
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with food handling, cooking techniques, and meal preparation processes is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices within the food industry is highly desirable
- Experience with serving customers or working in a fast-paced kitchen setting will be considered a plus
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential for success in this role
