Home Share Provider - Clearwater/Barriere, BC
Do you want to make a difference in the life of an adult with diverse abilities?
Yellowhead Community Services (YCS) is looking for individuals willing to become Home Share Providers for adults with diverse abilities and wellness barriers in the Clearwater and Barriere area.
As a Home Share Provider, you will provide ongoing support and guidance building life skills, assisting with meal preparation, accessing community resources, and services. You will encourage inclusion within the home and community environment. You will be responsible for the safety, support, and well-being of the individual. You will ensure the individual is accessing appropriate medical and dental care. Also, you will assist with nurturing positive relationships with friends, family, and support networks. This is a 24/7 position; however, additional supports will be provided.
Basic Requirements:
- Relevant training and/or previous experience working with individuals with diverse abilities.
- First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
- Criminal record check.
Be willing to obtain/complete the following:
- Physician’s letter of good health.
- Three letters of reference.
- A satisfactory home-study.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certificate.
- A signed declaration of confidentiality.
- A signed release of information.
