Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves supporting food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent communication skills, and experience in hospitality environments. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks to support the kitchen team
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food prep and service areas
- Handle food safety procedures and proper food handling techniques
- Support meal assembly and presentation for service
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling when required
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned, stored, and maintained
- Assist with serving guests and providing excellent customer service
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times
- Support inventory management through proper storage and rotation of supplies
Skills
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and maintaining hygiene standards in kitchens
- Customer service orientation with a friendly, professional attitude
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in hotel or barista roles is a plus but not required
