Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, high-performance, and results-driven Solar and HVAC Sales Consultant to join our team as a Home Advisor. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging potential residential clients across Ontario, providing expert guidance on premium solar energy, battery storage, and HVAC solutions, and driving business growth through effective, consultative sales strategies. The ideal candidate will possess elite outside sales skills, an adaptable technical mindset, and a relentless passion for sustainable energy solutions. Bilingual proficiency in French is highly desirable to better serve our diverse customer base. Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective customers through outside sales efforts, in-home consultations, virtual meetings, and community outreach to promote premium solar and HVAC products and services.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments by analyzing homeowners' utility bills and energy usage to recommend tailored net-zero solutions that meet client goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, guiding them seamlessly from initial education through to closing, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close sales effectively while clearly explaining available financial incentives, savings programs, and project timelines.
- Manage accounts proactively by collaborating with internal project management and operations teams to ensure a flawless customer handoff and maximize referral loyalty.
- Identify new business opportunities through strategic networking, local marketing initiatives, and self-generated leads to supplement company-provided appointments.
- Utilize GoHighLevel to accurately track sales activities, log customer interactions, and meticulously manage your pipeline progress.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to provide field feedback that helps refine outreach campaigns, increase brand awareness, and generate higher-quality leads.
- Stay informed about industry trends, product innovations, green energy rebates, and the competitive landscape to provide authoritative, expert advice to clients.
- Deliver technical sales presentations, effortlessly breaking down complex solar PV engineering, battery storage configurations, and HVAC specifications into simple, persuasive benefits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or account management within the solar, HVAC, home improvement, or direct-to-consumer sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills with a documented track record of handling objections and closing high-ticket deals effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English (required); proficiency in French is highly preferred to support expansion markets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business and aggressively pursue opportunities with a self-motivated, target-driven mindset.
- Familiarity with GoHighLevel or similar CRM platforms (like Salesforce) for managing customer relationships and moving deals through the sales pipeline.
- Analytical skills to evaluate residential properties, assess technical energy needs, and present custom financial proposals confidently.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a natural ability to quickly build trust, rapport, and credibility with diverse homeowners.
- Technical sales experience is an asset; must have the capacity to quickly learn and clearly convey technical information regarding solar grids and HVAC infrastructure.
- Valid driver’s licence and consistent access to a reliable vehicle are required for travel to field appointments.
