Requirements:
- Previous experience as a restaurant server, waiter, or waitress is preferred (1+ year is an asset).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Basic knowledge of Indian cuisine (curries, tandoori dishes, naan, biryani, etc.) or willingness to learn.
- Ability to take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Must be friendly, professional, and maintain a positive attitude with guests.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Smart Serve certification (or provincial alcohol service certification) may be required if alcohol is served.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry food trays.
- Team player who can work well with kitchen staff and other servers.
Responsibilities (Optional Section):
- Greet guests and present menus.
- Explain menu items and make recommendations.
- Take food and beverage orders and deliver orders promptly.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and respond to customer requests.
- Process payments and handle cash/card transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables and dining areas.
